After Cabo, I hopped on a plane and headed to Santa Barbara, CA. My mom, Auntie Nie-Nie and Jen picked me up at the airport as they drove down from Napa, making a stop at Hearst Castle on the way.
We spent 3 days in Santa Barbara with highlights including walks along the ocean, antique shopping in Summerland, lunch at the honeymoon spot of JFK and Jackie, wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley, famous Belgium waffles in the quirky town of Solvang, and a sunset cruise on a catamaran. Also in the mix, plenty of yummy meals, and not one but two stops to my new favorite ice cream shop.

After 3 days in Santa Barbara we continued down to LA for my cousin Michael’s wedding. We spent 2 nights in Santa Monica. Highlights included dinner at Water Grill, breakfast at Cora’s, and brunch at Gjelina. Yea….we ate.

I spent the last day lounging by the pool at our hotel, lunch with my best friend from high school, and dinner with my BFF Aislinn. She drove me to the airport in her brand new car, kicking and screaming that my jet set, multi-stop, tour of the west coast was over.
On to the next! I’m headed to Montreal this weekend for a little girls trip with Augusta. So excited for a mini taste of Europe! Will report back!
