This week, a review of my favorite wine that was a part of my nakedwines.com order. This Rachis 2012 Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and well balanced, but had the robust and creamy mouth feel of a richer Chardonnay, but in no way was it overwhelming. Added bonus, a well rounded wine without any over-powering oak that might be typical of a Chardonnay.
This wine paired perfectly with our summer grilling last weekend while out in Montauk: fresh grilled shrimp, halloumi + watermelon + basil, and tomato and corn salad with grilled nectarines. Nothing better than fresh produce in the height of summer!
