Thanksgiving Recap

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…officially!  I had the best time at home over Thanksgiving, we ate, we drank, the usual, pictorial evidence below!  Countdown is ON; 2 weeks until I’m back for Christmas.
Girls dinner at The Pear in Napa, followed by annual Wednesday night out at Chop Suey with the Napa crew.

Love these peeps – blurry and all!
We hosted our family for Thanksgiving this year which was something new and different; 2 RVs backed into our driveway was certainly Griswold-esq.  Camouflage was the theme, and everyone got in to it!  Thankfully the weather held out and we were able to eat on the back porch with our fully camo-themed table-scape.
My two favorite things – cranberry sauce gets an update with dried figs and I made my new favorite stuffing recipe

Mom’s birthday present – Crystal, Sparkle, and Light got all dressed up,  named by our 5 year old neighbor
Matching Camo!
Ella loves her pink puffer!
The expert gravy makers!

The bird!

Walking it off…..to breakfast the next morning
Friday night we headed down to Yountville for the annual tree-lighting ceremony.  Mom scored the perfect table at Hurley’s with a view of the tree!
After a glass of wine and the tree viewing we headed down the road for dinner at Mustards, always a classic!

The only baking I got in were these chocolate chip + speculoos cookies, recipe to come!

We tasted through our 2014 wines; everything is looking good!

The tasting panel approves!

After tasting a delicious lunch at Oxbow Market and Hog Island Oyster.
As a belated birthday present I took mom for massages at Indian Springs – I’ve heard so many good things about the spa and they weren’t lying, best massage I’ve ever had!
Another week for the record books – can’t wait to do it all again in a few weeks!
