One of the best features of NYC are the endless free events and activities, especially prevalent in the summer time. Last week a few friends and I took advantage of the River Flicks on Hudson River Park showing of Hunger Games.
My first summer in NY I swore off outdoor movies after failed attempts at Bryant Park (too crowded) and Pier 46 (sitting on concrete). But I decided to give this one a go and I’m so glad I did. I walked over after work and set up our spot. Karen and her friend Sonia joined and we had a lovely 2 hours of prime picnicking before it started to get dark and the movie began. The weather could not have been better, warm, a slight breeze, and the sun setting over the Hudson, a perfect NY summer night!
