Back to School

It had been 3 years since I went back to school, last weekend I met my two best friends for homecoming weekend.  I’ve been anticipating this weekend for months now (we booked the hotel in April!) and was so excited to see the girls, it had been over a year since I’d seen both of them, we vowed at the end of the weekend to not let that much time go by again!

While the main focus of our weekend was catching up and reminiscing
about old times, I’m not gonna lie, we made the rounds with a culinary
food tour of Oxford!  All our old favorites were still there, along with
a few new places.

It was a beautiful sunny
weekend, we walked around campus, checked out the new business school
(and movie set for George Clooney’s Ides of March), tailgated, and even
went to the football game (we won!).  Both nights we went out with my
friend’s younger brother who is still a sophomore.  The weekend made me
want to go back and do it all over again.  I remember having such ups
and downs throughout college, questioning my choice to even go where I
did, but senior year ended on such an amazing note, I’d love to relive
that year again and again!

The minute we got in to town our first stop was Skipper’s for waffle fries!  Senior year when none of us had serious classes we’d come here around 2pm on Wednesdays ($1 drafts) and spend the afternoon sitting outside for hours, such good times!

Fav bar is still standing and as popular as ever!
We convinced one guy friend to make the trip with us for a night!
Slant Walk
Our old house-“Leave it to Beaver”

Uptown Oxford-such a magical place
The infamous late night Clinton-pizza stuffed inside a grilled cheese, sounds awful but it’s the best invention ever!  I of course got pepperoni on whole wheat bread-you know for health reasons and all!  (and yes those are more waffle fries in the background-we didn’t hold back)
