As we all know, October is breast cancer awareness month. While many of us have constant reminders of breast cancer in our lives, it is nice to see international attention brought to these causes month by month.
Ralph Lauren recently celebrated Pink Pony Day. Employees around the world celebrate a day full of events related to breast cancer awareness and fundraising. Our day started with a 1.7 mile walk through central park, led by Ralph himself. Ralph chose to make breast cancer his company’s main philanthropy when a close friend was diagnosed with the disease in 2000. Now, 11 years later, we have raised millions of dollars for the cause.
Other events throughout the day included the first annual Pink Pony Day carnival, bake sales, and an online auction for employees. All in all a fun way to spend an ordinary work day, all in the name of a great cause!
