I was recently invited to attend a series of events at the Gilt City Hamptons House. Gilt City partnered with several well known chefs and restaurateurs for a series of exclusive dinners and brunches at a private estate in Bridgehampton. It was nothing short of fabulous. Good food, good drinks, and good company, in a majestic east end setting, what more could we ask for?? Sorry for the onslaught of photos, unfortunately they don’t even do these events justice. Until next year…..
First-Brunch hosted by Sam Talbot of Imperial #9 and Surf Lodge-or Top Chef if you go way back
I’ve loved Sam Talbot since his season on Top Chef-he did not dissapoint! |
Cheers! |
I’ve never been a grits fan-heirloom hominy grits from south carolina changed all that |
getting artistic |
Backyard Fun |
Brunch with Sam Talbot turned into a pool party with margaritas and poolside frozen grapes, life is good! |
What I wouldn’t give for a backyard to entertain in like this! |
Next up-an intimate evening with Dan Kluger of ABC Kitchen. Cocktails on the lawn followed by a mind-blowing meal. The perfect way to begin labor day weekend in the hamptons!
Itty bitty moon and a pink sky |
Ready for the meal of a lifetime |
Strawberry and goat cheese salad |
Spaghetti with shrimp |
Main course was a choice of fried chicken, braised pork belly, and halibut. I had the pork belly, but was so enthralled I didn’t have a chance to snap a pic!
Donuts-and these are no Dunkin’ variety |
Strawberry tart, never had anything like it |
And finally, a Sunday supper with the Scotto family. Sunday Italian dinner in all its red-sauce glory. Marion is a gem-and I was honored to tell her that I spent my first Christmas Eve dinner in New York at her restaurant in the 7th grade, I knew from that trip that this was the place for me.
Beautiful table, and prosciutto wrapped breadsticks-I die! |
Marion Scotto of Fresco by Scotto |
Gorgonzola zucchini and potato chips-unreal! |
Still having dreams about this pasta |
Nothin’ like a good ball! |
Key Lime Meringue-enough said |
Stuffed and ready to drive back to the city |
